DecisionBureau
DecisionBureau is DecisionMetrics' solution that undertakes many of the key technical processes required for the successful development and implementation of multi-bureau scorecards and strategies.
Firstly,
the summarised bureau blocks supplied by the three credit bureaux differ considerably in the levels of aggregation they provide and as such they require additional aggregation of criteria before they can be easily utilised within a lender's scorecards and credit policy. DecisionBureau contains these sophisticated aggregation routines for all three bureaux and these are utilised by DecisionMetrics during scorecard development and affordability projects to maximise the predictive value.
Secondly, the raw data records supplied by the bureaux have very different formats and field values which causes lenders problems when they wish to transfer policy or referral rules from one credit bureau to another. It necessitates a significant re-training exercise for the underwriting teams. DecisionBureau incorporates translation routines that allow the raw data records of each bureau to be converted to a standardised format. Once in this format DecisionBureau can then re-format the raw data of any bureau to match the format of the lender's system so that existing scorecards and policy rules can operate seamlessly irrespective of the underlying credit bureau used.
Similarly, where manual assessment of raw data is required, DecisionBureau allows the raw data records of each bureau to be presented to the Underwriters in their preferred format, thereby eliminating the burden of re-training staff to use the data of a different credit bureau.
Where searches are undertaken at two or more credit bureaux, DecisionBureau can de-duplicate and consolidate the resulting data into a single report and again provide it back in the format most suitable for the lender's system.
Utilising these routines has revolutionised the methodology for developing multi-bureau scorecards and strategies. This is a fundamental shift away from the need to develop 1st and 2nd search models across all possible credit bureau combinations. Lenders who utilise DecisionMetrics to develop their scorecards can now have them developed to work across all three credit bureaux whilst still managing a single instance.
