A barrier to utilising multiple data sources was the monopolistic relationship users of bureau data were tied to. Any change would be costly due to the knock on effect on decisioning systems and policies. This heavy reliance on the incumbent data provider created a 'single point of failure' risk and also led to limited commercial leverage for lenders.

DecisionMetrics is now part of the Callcredit Information Group, following its acquisition in 2007, but operates independently from the Callcredit credit bureau business. We continue to offer scoring and multi-bureau decisioning solutions and the impartial advice clients require to make the best collective use of the different data and value added services available from the three UK credit bureaux.
